How We Began...
The year 1990 was not only the start the final decade of the twentieth century, but it was the birth of what was to become one of the most respected homebuilding companies in the area. First Star Homes, Inc. was launched that year by native Oklahoman, Ben Turner, who had been in the industry since 1964. It started small, building only in Midwest City, then in Edmond, but with a dedicated team of skilled craftsman the number of communities we were able to serve continued to grow. Over the years, it has evolved into the homebuilding company that you now know as Turner & Son Homes.
Long-time members of the National Association of Home Builders and the Central Oklahoma Home Builders' Association, we have seen our field progress tremendously through research, innovation, and learning from the past. This largely economy-driven business has seen many peaks and valleys over time, and we are committed to using these ups and downs to always move forward. As the industry began to spiral downward, we searched for innovative ways to reduce costs without compromising quality. We were able to cut material waste nearly 80% and virtually eliminate inefficient processes. Through this growth and continual dedication to our customers, Turner & Son Homes has created the value-engineered designs we build today, meaning we maximize our customers’ value without adding to the cost.
With a staff total of nearly one hundred years industry experience, we are experts in efficiency, details, and teamwork. Turner & Son Homes understands the importance of listening to the families we build for and how essential open communication is to ensuring that all needs are being met. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and we look forward to getting to know you!
